Charles Usry

BIOGRAPHY

Charles is dedicated to helping people who have suffered serious, life-changing injuries or lost loved ones due to the misconduct of others. He represents clients in cases involving nursing home abuse and neglect, medical malpractice, pharmaceutical prescription errors, trucking accidents, and car wrecks. He also helps clients with insurance coverage disputes and claims arising from significant investment losses.

Charles has been recognized as one of the Top Attorneys in South Carolina by Columbia Living Magazine and a Top-Rated Personal Injury Attorney in Columbia, South Carolina. He has been named a Rising Star multiple times by Super Lawyers, a service that selects its members based on professional achievement and recognition by other lawyers. He is a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, and the AAJ’s Nursing Home Litigation Group.

Charles graduated with honors from Wofford College, where he received the L. Harris Chewning Award, which is the highest honor bestowed upon graduates within his major. During his final year in law school at the University of South Carolina School of Law, Charles received the Claud Sapp Award, given annually to one member of the graduating class who demonstrates the highest qualities of scholarship, leadership, and industry. Before entering private practice in 2008, Charles was a law clerk for the Honorable John C. Hayes, III in South Carolina’s Sixteenth Judicial Circuit. Charles lives in Columbia with his wife, Kate, and their two boys, Tyson and Hank.
